No Abusers In Congress: How we created a rapid response app to hold them accountable
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller
"Flood the zone" is a political strategy in which a political figure aims to gain media attention, disorient opponents and distract the public from undesirable reports by rapidly forwarding large volumes of info - Steve Bannon
How do you highlight issues quickly and hold politicians to account, when the news moves fast and there is a flood of disinfo? Move fast. Re-use content and resources wherever possible. Deliver it as text and video. Share across different media platforms.
I entered articles about three Congressional reps under allegations of sexual abuse and YouTube video links into a spreadsheet to create an app with the free MakeItFast. The app can be shared with a URL or QR Code and can be used on a phone or laptop. New details can be added to the spreadsheet with new content at any time to update the app.

I scanned the QR Code that was created with the app using my iPhone with screen capture turned on. This created video which I uploaded to my MacBook using AirPlay and used the free iMovie app to edit the video. Creating the app and the video took less than two hours. Here's the video on YouTube.
