Trump officials seek to transfer Yosemite land to private developer, report says 

• The Trump team had been in talks with real estate and investment firm Kingsbarn Realty Capital since spring of 2025. -  Outside 
• The Nevada-based company reportedly owns 83 acres of land just west of the National Park, and Kingsbarn CEO  Jeff Pori allegedly wants to build a road connecting the plot with a main road within Yosemite, NOTUS wrote.

"Jeff Pori, the CEO of Kingsbarn, wants to build a short road connecting the property to one of Yosemite’s central thoroughfares. The new road would give the land exceptionally rare private access to a park that is otherwise almost entirely buffered by national forests.

The property’s current access road is more than 10 miles from an entrance to the park, and much further from Yosemite’s most iconic sights. Without a new road, visitors to the property — whether it be developed into a hotel, resort or private residence — would need to drive an hour and a half in a circuitous route to reach the popular Yosemite Valley." -  NOTUS

• It's deeper than you would think: Kingsbarn founder/owner Jeffrey Pori reportedly began donating to Trump’s campaign, Trump-linked PACs, and GOP committees in late 2024 after Kingsbarn acquired the Yosemite-adjacent property now at the center of a controversial proposed land/access deal.
• Kingsbarn also received roughly $52M in financing from Hankey Capital, controlled by  Don Hankey , whose company provided Trump’s $175M appeal bond in his NY civil-fraud case.
• A major Kingsbarn real-estate deal also involved Newmark, the firm formerly led by Trump Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
