Who voted to give ICE $170 billion

The Republican “ Big, Beautiful Bill”  cuts  about $170 billion  from Medicare, Social Security and food stamps  to give ICE. The funding is more than the federal government spent on immigration detention during the previous three presidential administrations, combined, according to  a Washington Post analysis .

This makes ICE “the single largest federal law enforcement agency in the history of the nation.” The bill's  tax and Medicaid cuts  are forecast to add  $3.3 trillion to the deficit  and cause 11.8 million more people to go without health coverage. - Indpendent
