Beginning in 2012, Guide.Votes' team of veteran journalists has been producing these guides, first to help college students vote at 600 campuses, through Campus Election Engagement Project (CEEP), where they were the schools’ favorite resource. And then for a broad array of civic organizations, from American Democracy Project and Black Voters Matter to Do Something, Nonprofit Vote, Vote.org and When We All Vote.
All organizations and individuals are welcome to link to their guides on their website or print them out to distribute. They ask that their guides are used in a nonpartisan way. The more parallel ways you distribute the guides, the more they’ll become a key part of people’s decisions whether to vote and who to vote for. You may shorten a guide if you want to focus on core issues, but please keep the original questions and answers for the topics you choose to use.
