Jan 6 Insurrection investigation updates
"The New Subpoenas. This week the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack issued six new subpoenas, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who served as former President Donald Trump's personal attorney. Three other members of the former president's legal team were also subpoenaed, as well as leaders of the “America First” White nationalist movement who participated in the insurrection and events leading up to that day. The subpoenas come as the US Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Trump to block the National Archives from releasing over 700 pages of White House documents which are now being sent to the January 6th Committee." - DemList
"As Giuliani coordinated plan for Trump electoral votes in states Biden won, some electors balked. The Trump electors gathered in plain sight, assisted by campaign officials and Trump attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani, who said publicly that the rival slates were necessary and appropriate. Internally, Giuliani oversaw the effort, according to former campaign officials and party leaders who, like some others interviewed for this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations. One of the people familiar with the plan said Giuliani was assisted at times by an anchor from the right-wing network One America News." - Washington Post
"Michael Flynn allies allegedly plotted to lean on Republicans to back vote audits. Ex-whistleblower says group enlisted his help to seek potentially damaging information on two members of Congress to prod them to back audits in key states Trump lost." - The Guardian
